Meet the team
Mike, Managing Director
I founded Gripsure in 2010, having spent the previous 20 years working in non slip resin coatings for highway applications. As MD, my vision is to have an approachable, friendly and helpful team, who share the vision of outstanding customer service. I believe the growth of the company is down to a great responsive service and 'keeping our promises'.
Ross, Production Director
I am mainly responsible for planning production to meet customer requirements and ensure productivity levels are maintained, and to manage the companies Health and Safety policy. My role also includes managing our FSC certification and procedures, and research and development of products and processes including the newly launched Gripsure Aquadeck®. I have been with Gripsure since its establishment in June 2010.
Jo, Office Manager
I have been working at Gripsure since the business started in June 2010. My role as Office Manager varies from invoicing customers & ordering in goods to book keeping & financial reporting to Mike.
Josh, Production Supervisor
I joined Gripsure in January 2013 since then my role in the production team has evolved. My two main responsibilities are filling in the production record sheets and cutting samples of our products. Each day starts with shaking down the previous days production as a team, before getting on with the next order. The main jobs I do on a daily basis are gunning boards with resin, stoning boards, moving board packs and helping load deliveries, which all production team members contribute to.
James, General Manager
I joined the team in August 2013 and I’m usually the one who will answer your call. I am primarily responsible for day to day sales and quotes. My role involves drawing up customer quotes and dealing with any questions or orders that result from this, as well as dealing with our logistics. I also deal with most of our sales analysis and reporting.
Gary, Yard Supervisor
I joined the Gripsure team, in Feb2013 and my job role in the production area has developed over the years to be able to drive the combi lift, use and maintain the resin gun, packing and banding up orders, loading and offloading lorries.
Kevin, Business Development Manager
With a strong background in generating and developing new business across a range of industry sectors my role is to establish and develop new business for Gripsure.
The role primarily involves introducing our range of products and building relations with Architects and Contractors.
Jed, Production Maintenance Engineer
I joined Gripsure back in February 2015 feeling enriched after returning from travelling around the world. I am currently being trained in all areas of production as well as studying an engineering apprenticeship with Cornwall College. Once I have completed my apprenticeship I will be able to service and maintain Gripsure’s production equipment to keep everything running smoothly.
Debbie, Marketing Assistant
I joined the team at Gripsure back in December 2014 after graduating from Falmouth University where I studied graphic design. My job role involves supporting the sales team with marketing material. I look after Gripsure’s website content, social media accounts and PR. I also work on the in-house design of adverts, product literature and point of sale material.
Kevin , National Accounts Manager
I am pleased to say I joined Gripsure in June 2016 as National Accounts Manager for the UK and ROI.
I have a strong background in timber and a wealth of experience calling on the UK National and Independent merchant network. Having been a Branch Manager for many years in the merchant network myself this has been an advantage.
My experience in dealing with Buying Groups and large customer accounts is also something I look forward to developing with Gripsure. It is an exciting period with the company in terms of growth and I am pleased to be part of that.
Aaron, Production Apprentice
After finishing my GCSE's in September 2016, I joined Gripsure as an apprentice. I am currently studying "Performing manufacturing operations level 2" at Cornwall College whilst being trained in the manufacturing process of non slip decking at Gripsure. I'm looking forward to completing my apprenticeship and progressing within the company.
I joined the Gripsure team in October 2016 with the purpose of demonstrating the correct PPE and work clothing to wear during various activities and tasks. Another part of my role is to create discussions around what needs to be considered to maintain my health and safety and that of those around me while the activities and tasks are undertaken.
